Hey there, Nerds! It’s that time of year again, and I’m in the giving spirit! As some of you may recall, last year I hosted a giveaway where two lucky winners received Star Wars-themed goodies. This year, I’ve picked a theme that has become near and dear to my heart. No, not Star Trek. I’m talking comics!
A little over a year ago, I became obsessed with comics, and that passion spun into my favorite series on the site, which is The Beginner’s Guide to Comicbooking. Getting into the comic book community has helped me form new friendships, make connections, and join in fun group activities, like the monthly Ladies Night I attend at my local comic book shop. Delving into the world of comics has genuinely impacted my life for the better, and I’m so glad that I bucked up the courage to walk into a comic shop.
Though, I will admit, first stepping foot into the comic community was a bit daunting. There are so many questions that arise: “Where do I start?” “Which comic is right for me?” “How do I get into this kickass community?” Don’t worry, we’ve all been there. That’s why I want to celebrate this wonderful community, and the good people I’ve met along the way, with a very special giveaway I’m dubbing the 12 Gifts of Nerdmas!

One lucky winner will receive not one, not two, but twelve (12) awesome comic book-themed prizes! The prizes include:

Da Rules
This giveaway will be hosted on Rafflecopter. The giveaway starts today, December 6th, and ends Tuesday, December 20th (11:59PM Central US time). The randomly chosen winner of the giveaway will be contacted the following day, and will be given 24 hours to respond to the congratulatory email. Should the winner fail to respond to this email within the given amount of time, another random winner will be chosen. Either way, expect an official announcement to be posted here on that Thursday. Once i receive shipping information from the luck recipient, I will send it out as soon as possible. Expect your prize to be sent within the week of your acceptance.
This giveaway is open to anyone; for those younger than 18, make sure you get permission from a parent before entering.

Have fun! I wanted to do something extra special for everyone who loves comics. I can’t tell you how much it’s meant to me to make new friends through comics, and I hope that other newbies to the fandom will find something to get excited about with these items. It’s also an early celebration; this January, the blog will be celebrating its second blogiversary! And with nearly 330 followers, I couldn’t be more proud. Good luck, everyone! Woah! Great prizes! I’m glad you got them at your local comic shop too. I’m always trying to support small businesses when I can 🙂 One of the things on my wishlist this year is Monster Hunter for the 3DS!

This year more than anything….I want a 35mm lens for my full frame camera. I’m not asking for much….it’s just the space I have in my home is so tight that a 50mm lens is no longer working for me….

What an awesome giveaway! I have the illustrated editions of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone and the Chamber of Secrets on my wishlist. My Harry Potter collection just keeps growing!
