Nerd∙ily’s Niceties of September and October

I think I might have missed September, but never fear! I am going to present some of my favorite blog posts of both September and October here! If you are new to the site, I hope these posts will give you a better understanding of what I do here on Nerd∙ily. So, feast your eyes of the bounty that is nerdom, and check out some of these niceties:

5 Fandom Friday: Favorite Things About Fall

In my first 5FF, I discussed that magical time of year: autumn. The prompt came from the Female Geek Bloggers community I was fortunate enough to join. One of the best things about this community? They’re just as crazy about fall as I am.

“Simply Meant to Be:” Nerdy Corsage & Boutonniere

By far, one of my favorite craft tutorials I’ve published on this site. This is also the first post where I debuted my own Etsy shop! This is my first (and only, so far) item in the shop. It’s also the tutorial where I finally transcribed a craft that I love to do.

Ofrenda de Nerd∙ily

As part of my recent NERDIWEEN event, I decided to tackle a craft I’ve always wanted to do: sugar skulls. So, that’s what I did! I also gave these calaveras de azúcar a special, nerdy twist.

It’s Just a Bunch of Hocus Pocus!

After coming back from a long weekend in Boston, I was inspired to write about my experiences in Salem. I love Salem, and I was so surprised at how cool, trendy, and nerdy the town had become since I last visited. Needless to say, I was quite moved by the trip, and now this town will forever hold a piece of my heart.

Wicked Good Treats

I this post, I took a recipe from the 1900s, and resurrected it from the dead. After purchasing a seriously cool book called What Salem Dames Cooked, I was inspired to do a little baking. The results were magical–so to speak. These spicy delights turned out better than expected, and I’m planning on making some for our upcoming Thanksgiving celebration.

And there you have it! I hope you enjoyed this installment of Nerd∙ily’s Niceties. Now all I have to do it top myself this month!

Life was meant to be lived nerdily, so what are you waiting for?
