Much to my dismay, the 90s fashion is coming back. I’m not talking about the “good” fashion (like Clarissa would wear), but the hideous combination of overalls, sleeveless mock-turtlenecks, and baby doll dresses. Also, if you go into any Target now, you’ll find the black, plastic tattoo necklaces that were once so coveted. Why these trends came back is still a mystery to me. Oh the horror.
Video Games
A recently growing trend in video games is the creation of emulators–software that allows a personal computer to play video games no matter what console they are supported by. From Super Mario World to Earthbound, there’s an emulation for everyone. More and more emulations are made public all the time, so don’t despair if you sold your SNES years ago (but regret it highly still). I grew up playing some of these amazing games, and I’m thrilled that others see their value after all these years. Now if I can just find a Tamagotchi or Giga Pet emulator, that would be fantastic!
Movies & Television
Some of the most popular movies from the 90s are resurfacing as sequels to their predecessors, and this is becoming a growing trend in Hollywood. Movies include Jurassic World, Terminator: Genisys, and Hocus Pocus. But it doesn’t stop there: not only have some of our favorite Nickelodeon and Disney Channel shows resurfaced to play late at night, but a reboot of The X Files is being filmed!
Bath & Body Works
BBW recently announced that they were bringing back five popular fragrances from the 90s to appease all of us who still hold on dearly to our Lip Smackers. Scents include Juniper Breeze, White Tea & Ginger, and Country Apple. Oh what a time to be alive…all over again. #CucumberMelon4Lyfe
Food
FRENCH TOAST CRUNCH IS BACK. I repeat: FRENCH TOAST CRUNCH IS BACK. Back by popular demand, after nearly two decades, one of the best cereals to hit the breakfast table has returned. Also, Crispy M&Ms are available for purchase in the US once again. Excuse me while I enter a long-overdue sugar coma.

Thank you so much for this. I remember my first choker. Actually, my first 3. I wore the purple one for a good six years, well into the early 2000s. It took dozens of kiosks for me to find them. We were on a military base in Japan and rarely ventured to shop off base (where the really cool chokers were, with the cowrie shells weaved in between), so it took a while for me to catch onto what I saw the Spice Girls sporting on MTV, which I wasn’t supposed to watch.
They will always be exquisite to me.

I used to layer them. They were the best staple accessory to any outfit.
